You will also find it in raspberries, apples, pears, figs, bananas, air-popped popcorn, beans, nuts, seeds, and vegetables like broccoli, unpeeled potatoes, mustard greens and spinach.
4.Water is your friend Drinking lots of water not only keeps you hydrated, but also fills your empty stomach and dilutes gastric acid, causing you to eat less without feeling hungry. Drink a glass of water when you wake up and before every meal to help with dehydration and decrease your hunger.
5.Vitamin D Sunlight does tons of good things for your health. It can also help your metabolism stay speedy. High vitamin D levels are linked to healthy metabolism levels, and the best way to get vitamin D is by getting into the sun.
6.Chew Sugar-free Gum A study showed that chewing sugar-free gum may help lower caloric intake and increase energy expenditure. Try chewing gum at times when snack cravings typically occur while watching TV, sitting at your desk at work, at parties, etc.
7.Take the stairs. Did you know that you can burn as much as 15 calories by walking up 3 flights of stairs? Plus, this is also a great way to strengthen your legs. You can also try stepping up and down on the curb when you’re taking a walk outside.
8.Cold shower A cold shower early in the morning can shock your metabolic system and help it move into high gear.
9.Get enough sleep Metabolism suffers when your sleep suffers. Getting at least seven to nine hours of sleep per night preps your metabolism for the day ahead.
10.Find A Hobby Any hobby that gets you moving gardening, yoga, etc are all great ways to burn extra calories. And you’re more likely to stick with a hobby you enjoy then a regular exercise program.
